AI notice
Daytale uses AI to write and illustrate your book. Here is what it does, what it never sees, and how it is labeled.

What the AI does
The story is written by Claude, a model made by Anthropic, which we use through Amazon Bedrock in the EU. It also reads a workplace website you give us and turns it into a short job summary for you to check.
The pictures are painted by an image-generation model from Google or OpenAI; the privacy policy names the one in use. The studio previews and free skill draw simpler pictures with our own code, without image-model calls or image-generation charges. Your own coding-agent usage may cost.
What the AI never sees
Names. Every name is replaced with a placeholder before anything goes to an AI model, and the names are put back only when the book is shown.
Photos of children. We never ask for them and never accept them.
Your email address and payment details.
A grown-up's own photo, if you add one, is read once by a vision model in the EU to describe hair, glasses, and so on. It is deleted straight away and never sent to an image model.
Labels and checks
Every book labels how it was made on its last page: AI-assisted words and either AI artwork or code-drawn pictures. Pictures keep the provider's machine-readable "made with AI" marks where the file format allows.
Your text is checked by a content filter before it reaches an AI model. Our checker reviews every story, and you approve the facts before you pay. AI can still make mistakes, so read the preview carefully; changes are included.
Independence
Daytale is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Anthropic, Amazon, Google, or OpenAI. We use their models through their business services, which do not use your data to train their models.
