Acceptable Use Policy
Daytale makes warm, true picture books for children about grown-ups' work. Everything you enter, and everything we make, has to fit that.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Welcome
Books about real jobs, your family, and everyday life. Invented jobs for fun (a dragon keeper is fine). Gentle humor for grown-up readers.
Never allowed
Sexual content of any kind: nothing nude, sexual, or sexually suggestive, about anyone. Anything sexual involving children is reported where the law requires.
Violence and harm: gore, cruelty, weapons used against people, self-harm, or frightening content unsuitable for children.
Hate and harassment: content that demeans people for who they are, bullies, or threatens anyone.
Deception: deepfakes, impersonating real people, or books that pretend to be by or about public figures, companies, or brands.
Other people's rights: famous characters, logos, trademarks, or artwork you have no right to use, and private information about people other than your family's first names.
Photos of children, or photos of any adult other than yourself.
Illegal activity, or anything that promotes it.
Misuse of the service: using Daytale as a general image or text generator, trying to get around its rules or filters, or automated or bulk use.
How we enforce it
Every text you write is checked by an automated content filter, provided by our payment partner Creem, before it reaches any AI model. Text that fails the check is not used, and the page asks you to change it.
The AI models have their own safety rules on top. Our checker reviews every finished story before you see it.
We may refuse to make, or stop making, a book that breaks this policy, and may block access for repeated attempts.
